Anwatin Soccer Information

Welcome to the new 2026–27 school year. We are thrilled to open our doors once again and welcome you back as we continue our learning journey. We hope you all had a wonderful, adventure-filled summer and enjoyed the World Cup held in our country. This year, we are kicking off our tournament earlier than usual and we want to use our experience and knowledge to lead our team through another epic chapter, the kind only this school can deliver. The tournament runs from September 16 to October 14.

We will be at the school on September 3 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM to answer questions and guide families through the participation process and transportation details. It is extremely important to come to the school that day to get the required physical exam, which the school is providing for families. If you do not get the physical exam that day, you will have to arrange it through your own clinics or other providers at your own expense.

The first match of the competition is on September 16. The sooner we prepare, the better we will perform. Thank you very much.

Uniforms

Uniforms will be provided by the Minneapolis School District through our school. Families must provide socks, shin guards and athletic cleats for their children. Donations and/or contributions of any kind are welcome to support the students during games and practices. Water, fruit, and energy bars are some examples of this.

Physical Exam
A physical exam is a mandatory requirement for participation in the tournament; without it, you cannot participate. A doctor will be available at the school on September 3rd—during the school's open house—between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to assist families in obtaining the necessary exam so students can participate. If you do not get the physical exam done on that day, you will need to arrange it through a clinic or other provider at your own expense.


Player Roster
All Anwatin sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students are encouraged to try out!  Player roster will be finalized in the fall.
