Welcoming Rising Phoenix Sixth Graders

Earlier this spring, Anwatin Middle School had the pleasure of hosting incoming fifth graders from our three pathway elementary schools — Kenwood, Bryn Mawr, and Nellie Stone Johnson — for a special student-led panel and welcome event featuring live performances from our music exploration and band classes.

The highlight of the day? A thoughtful Q&A session led by a panel of high schoolers from North High and our very own Anwatin student ambassadors. These experienced students shared honest advice about navigating middle and high school, what to expect, and how to stay confident and curious along the way.

Fifth graders asked great questions about everything from favorite classes to future college and career dreams. The exchange sparked meaningful conversations, and a few laughs too.

It was a day full of connection, encouragement, and excitement as we look ahead to the next generation of Anwatin scholars joining our community!
